If you love someone just as much as we love great food then why not ask that special person out on Valentine’s Day? All of our 8 restaurants are open and ready to cook up a scrumptious and romantic dinner at fair prices.

With that many possible choices we knew that we had to explain the mood at each and every restaurant in order for you to pick the perfect place for a culinary Valentine’s date. Not through words, neither through pictures, but through GIFs. Enjoy!

Bar Next Door:

Okay, so actually Bar Next Door won’t be open as such on February the 14th seeing as it’s a Sunday. But if you’re a midnight romantic why not invite your significant other out for a cocktail when Saturday the 13th turns into Sunday the 14th? Bar Next Door is open until 2 am.

Madklubben Bistro-de-Luxe:

Madklubben Bistro-de-Luxe is the perfect destination if you want to impress your date with dinner in an elegant designer restaurant. With a three-course menu starting at just 200 DKK maybe even your accountant will fall back in love with you?

Tony’s:

Our popular Italian eatery close to Nyhavn sports an intimate feel complete with candlelights and small nooks and crannies for dining with your loved one(s). Dive in to the famous spaghetti meatballs or explore the a la carte selection. 3 courses start at 200 DKK. #ThatsAmore

Bistro Royal:

With a roast to share, creamy béarnaise sauce and sinful desserts served at fair prices the menu at Bistro Royal on Kongens Nytorv is as romantic as it gets. Stare dreamingly into your lover’s eyes. And by lover we mean a whole lobster straight from the grill. Who else?

Gran Torino:

Located in a hidden courtyard in the Nørrebro district of Copenhagen, Italian eatery Gran Torino is the perfect spot if you’re looking for some classic ”Lady & The Tramp” romance. Explore the ”Lazy Sunday” menu complete with steamy pizzas, a killer lasagne and the chef’s very own tiramisu.

Hanzō:

Our pan Asian restaurant is located right by the picturesque ”Lakes” between Nørrebro and the city centre. Enjoy nothing short of a 13-course dinner with a complementary glass of bubbly for only 350 DKK. Tickets have to be purchased in advance through shop.madklubben.dk (only available in Danish).

Alabama Social:

If you’re not afraid to show off your eating skills take your date to Alabama Social. Our American soul food restaurant produces scrumptious dishes that will make you fall in love with the Cajun kitchen all over again.

Madklubben Steak:

Madklubben’s vibrant steakhouse is located in the heart of the city. Say, ”I love you!” with a sizzling piece of meat straight from the grill and don’t forget to finish off with something sweet before a kiss awaits in the street.

Madklubben Vesterbro:

Sundays were created with one purpose and one purpose only in mind: To relax! It’s the one day of the week where it’s more than okay to sleep in, watch Netflix in bed and add an extra spoonful of sugar to your coffee. It’s also a day where you rarely have the energy to cook up dinner in your own kitchen.

That’s why we’ve invented ”Lazy Sunday” at our Nørrebro based trattoria Gran Torino – a culinary backyard experience that echoes the mood from Disney’s ”Lady and the Tramp”.

Get ready to enjoy a small Sunday selection of appetizers and a whole range of authentic pizzas straight from our Valeriano stone ovens while we make you gear down and prepare for the week to come.

The pizza dough is made from finely grained Caputo flour and the pizzas are baked for a mere 90 seconds at 375 degrees Celsius, which creates the soft middle, the chewy bite and the airy, crunchy crust we love so dearly. There are always 7 different pizzas to choose between on the Lazy Sunday menu.

Still up for dessert? Then there’s only one option. But what an option! Gran Torino’s classic tiramisu made with espresso, amaretto, vanilla liquor and marsala. Mama mia! Don’t forget to book your Lazy Sunday table in advance .

Dear guest, on Sunday the 17th of January all of Madklubben’s restaurants will be closed for evening service. The reason? We will be busy celebrating our amazing employees who deserve a night full of dancing, drinking, eating and laughing.

Following a successful 2015 that concluded with a busy holiday season and a festive New Year’s Eve we’ll let our hair down for the night and celebrate with more than 300 skilled chefs, waiters and bartenders who help run 9 of Copenhagen’s most popular restaurants and bars.

Our popular American soul food eatery Alabama Social in Nørrebro will still be open for brunch service just as the elegant Bistro Royal on Kongens Nytorv will remain open for lunch.

We look forward to welcoming you back for more great food served at fair prices from Monday January 18th.

’Tis the season to be jolly and that goes for our lovely guests and employees alike. In other words we too will be celebrating the holidays with our loved ones which means our restaurants and bars will be closed on certain days.

Whether you grew up with Thanksgiving or, like us, just have a history of drooling at the screen when the American holiday is depicted in movies and TV series, we have some great news for you.

This year our southern American eatery, Alabama Social , is setting the table for a scrumptious Thanksgiving dinner experience sporting no less than fourteen different dishes served to share in four successive heats.

Prepare yourself for classics like butternut squash soup, stuffed turkey with all the right side orders and pumpkin pie with vanilla ice cream. Our chefs will also be spoiling the diners with delicacies such as bacon wrapped scallops, blue cheese endives and deviled eggs. Yum!

Thanksgiving at Alabama Social will take place on Thursday the 26th of November. Tickets are available online through our brand new Madklubben Shop at 395 DKK per person. A tailored wine pairing will be available at the restaurant for an additional 395 DKK. Want to bring your kids along? Then check out the children’s tickets available for 195 DKK.

Hurray! Danish fashion magazine Costume has just published their new guide to seven sublime pizza places in Denmark . We’re thrilled to announce that our very own restaurant Gran Torino has made it on the list.

In the article Costume’s journalist notes that even though the italian classic is a crowd favorite among Danes, not everybody succeeds in creating the perfect taste of Italy. That’s why they’ve set out to find the best pizza spots not only in Copenhagen but in all of Denmark.

International travel search engine giant Expedia has decided to shine a light on Copenhagen’s mouthwatering restaurant scene. In doing so they’ve created an interactive Foodie Map where visitors and Copenhageners alike can delve into a virtual city full of culinary inspiration.

For the project Expedia has handpicked almost 50 great eats in the Danish capital, which can all be filtered by location, price and reviews. It’s no secret that Copenhagen is home to many more outstanding eateries and that’s why we’re even more thrilled to have no less than four of Madklubben’s restaurants present on the Foodie Map.

You’ll find both Bistro Royal near the Kongens Nytorv square as well as our three Nørrebro based locations Gran Torino , Hanzō and Alabama Social in the company of Michelin starred restaurants and other notable names within the gastronomic cityscape.

New menu at Gran Torino features amazing cheese and pasta

Enjoy the best the Italian cuisine has to offer at our vibrant backyard trattoria Gran Torino. The restaurant is located in the heart of the Nørrebro district right by ”The Lakes” known as ”Søerne” in Danish.

We recently launched our new menu packed with tempting dishes. You’ll find inspiration no matter if you feel like taking on the 12-course ”Il Giro” tasting menu served family style to share by all at the table or you’re more in the mood for choreographing your very own Italian meal from our à la carte selection .

Among our culinary newcomers you will find the ”burrata” – a classic mozzarella style cheese filled with double cream to produce an even more scrumptious and silky cheese experience. At Gran Torino we serve our burrata with watermelon, pickled tomatoes and dried olives. If you’re drooling a bit already then don’t worry, we totally understand!

For the pasta lovers we have a tagliatelle con ragu featuring a bolognaise sauce like your Italian Nonna would make it. Love seafood? Then try the classic sedanini pasta tubes served with scampi, baked tomatoes, grilled lemon and a hearty lobster broth.
